What is new with Gaelic Images?

Gaelic Images has acquired the business “Shutter Village”. At present we are working hard to integrate both businesses so that we can provide you with a much higher level of service.

What changes does this mean?

• At present Gaelic Image brand name has a limited market because some people associated this brand name with Irish images only. So for this reason “Shutter Village” will become our primary brand name.
• Our business model will be changing from a registered business to a limited company.
• The Rights Managed Image structure from Shutter Village has now been integrated into our website. This means that we will be selling both royalty-free and rights-managed images.
• The model release and property release management structure from Shutter Village have been integrated into our website.
• The domain name “gaelicimages” is still valid so that all our old customers and photographers can still find our website.
• A new bonus image service will be added to our site. To attract new customers we will be offering a selection of images that have been produced by our in-house photographers at a special discounted rate. This service is to encourage new and existing customers to return regularly to our site to review our image database.
• We are now offering photo buyers many new ways to purchase images as well and several new more flexible payment options.
• The developers from both “Gaelic Images” and Shutter Village” are now working together to build a much more improved website so we can offer you and our customers a much more advanced service.

Shutter Village is now getting support and guidance from the IT Carlow Enterprise Board. The IT Carlow Enterprise Board is a government body that helps small Irish businesses to grow. Their goal is to accelerate the development of start-up companies through a comprehensive combination of infrastructure, business support services and specialised resources before and during their foundation.

We are now launching a new service to assists you with bulk image uploads. With this new service you can now save your images on a CD or DVD, post it to us and we will upload them for you. Once uploaded the images will appear under your account. By clicking "view/edit photos I have for sale" you can check the status of your individual images. Click "Edit" you can start editing your images.
